Robert Davis was born and raised in the Bronx, NY. Having grown up in the South Bronx in Patterson Projects, his father had a stroke and his family moved to Kingstree, SC during Rob’s junior year at Evander Childs HS. Rob remained in New York and finished his senior year without his immediate family. He moved in with his cousins, finishing his senior year without his mother and father as they relocated down South. After he graduated from HS he enrolled in college at South Carolina State University, where he attended for four years and received a Bachelors of Arts degree in Music Education. From there he attended Radford University in Radford, Virginia, where he received a Masters of Arts degree in Piano Pedagogy.

Rob is a former teacher, basketball coach and choral director. While a teacher in Columbia, SC at W. G. Sanders middle school, he started his own Financial Services business on a part-time basis. To date, he has 20+ years experience in financial services and is currently a National Sales Director and the owner and CEO of The Davis Group. He has served as an executive board member on the African American Leadership Council, a service organization that empowers, instructs and mentors other African Americans on how to make a six-figure income in finances. As an active member of Brookland Baptist Church, Rob has also served on the board of the Brookland Lakeview Empowerment Center.

​Rob is licensed and certified in: Investments, Retirement Planning, Life Insurance, Long Term Care and Debt Management. In addition to financial workshops, he also conducts workshops aimed at teaching individuals how to become successful entrepreneurs. Rob has produced eight other Vice Presidents with offices in Columbia, SC, Charleston, SC, Rock Hill, SC, Savannah, GA and Charlotte, NC. Also he has plans of expanding to Florida. Among many other accolades, he has received recognition on both state and national levels for his achievements as an entrepreneur in sales, sales management, and recruiting. Rob is married to his wife, Minnie and they have two children, Maya and Robbie.
